2013!!

By · Comments (0)

Welcome to 2013!!

If you are like some people, you are either amazed or surprised we’re still here!  Most of us never really thought about the end of the Mayan Calendar.  We realize that it merely meant they got tired and decided 2013 was far enough (over 32000.) and stopped.  It seemed like only common sense!

But in reality, sense isn’t so common. Most of us have preconceived notions of how things are. The question is “are these notions correct?”

Certainly many of our beliefs work in our lives, but how many are either restricting or downright preventing us from creating the life we want?

Welcome

By · Comments (0)

Welcome to my blog and thanx for coming:

When I decided to redo this blog, I had in mind a kind of E-course.  Starting with the basics, I wanted to give you the life-skills you needed for a truly successful life.  This is a tall order!  What’s more, there is no “one size fits all” solution!  Each individual has different needs and different ways of learning and doing.  Each person is different and specific!!

Budgeting your monthly expenses and put aside some for saving doesn’t have to be all that hard. There are many budgeting programs available for use.

Money management programs allow you to enter your inflows and outflows, categorize expenditures, and often show an analysis of your spending behavior.

Through these programs you can also input monthly payments, and track if you’ve paid them on time.

Moreover, some programs also offer a tax form to help you make sure you’re not missing out on any deductibles.

By · Comments (1)

The emergence of the electronic age has made almost everything possible. Determining and curing terminal diseases, reaching uncharted territories became a possibility, and most of all; the everyday life of people has been made easy through technology. We now have more convenient stores, easier means of transportation and a variety of gadgets that makes work and pleasure almost effortless.

When it comes to finances, technology—through efficient banking system and services—has given people better alternatives and options to manage their finances. Among the many financial management schemes that have emerged, one stands out among the rest—the credit card.

If you’re like the rest of us, you are probably taking a second look at credit card offers right about now. But beware! Credit card offers, no matter how enticing and convenient they might seem, may be the most expensive loans made by banks, department stores, and gasoline companies you can choose.

Usually, no matter how hard you try not to give in to the temptation; material cravings can sometimes be more powerful than the will of the mind. No matter how hard you try to resist the convenience and leisure, you cannot help but to indulge. And the moment the credit card issuer offers you a card you can hardly wait for t to be approved and to use it to pay for items and services you probably could do without

A stress- free lifestyle would do wonders in eliminating both physical and mental disease. As the #1 killer in industrial countries, stress must be dealt with. Failure to do so will result in lack of energy, physical pain, and mental confusion to name a few things.

That being said here are some practical methods to combat stress:

1. Laugh hard and loud.

If you feel your sense of humor is lacking, find someone else who has a great sense of humor. Laughter releases endorphins (happy chemicals) from the body, and it helps boost your immune system.

Saving is a way to utilize your present income.

There are several reasons to save. Things you may wish to acquire like a new car, or big screen TV. And of course the longer term things such as a down payment on a home, a college education, or to provide for your retirement.

Since we’re all spending so much this time of the year, i thought i’d mention some of the dangers of using your credit card

Today’s technology tends to cater to every human’s whims. It feeds on the people’s undying thirst for easy, instant, and convenient. More often than not, it also causes them a lot of trouble—financial trouble through credit card debt—that is.

Credit Card convenience vs. Credit Card debt

Welcome:

Today’s post is a guest post from a friend of mine, Sally.  She gives advice you should pass on to your teens.

Graduation is symbolic for change and new beginnings. After leaving high school, young adults feel the pressure of growing up and figuring something out for their life. The pressure has evolved with every decade. Today’s young adults don’t feel the same pressures as their parents did upon graduation, but nonetheless, they know that their childhood is over and it is time to move forward.
